White clay Mask.

My favorite face Mask at the moment is white clay mask, having sensitive skin, I always have to look for gentle masks that won’t harm my skin, white clay is an ingredient that I can rely on to softly treat my sensitive skin.

One of the greatest properties of clay is its extraordinary absorption power. It is the softest of all clays, it is suitable for people with sensitive skin. White clay possesses an interesting healing power, it purifies and cleanses the epidermis of the dry and delicate skins. It also helps to with stimulating the blood circulation of the skin while gently exfoliating and purifying it. White clay is well-known for its decongestant properties, it respects the skin epidermis without being harsh. White clay is naturally rich in mineral salts: iron, magnesium, zinc, silicon, potassium, calcium, etc. The plethora of minerals only makes it a source of well-being for the skin.

In short, the properties of white clay are:

  • Healing: it promotes wound healing.
  • Anti-inflammatory: it relieves and prevents inflammation.
  • Soothing: it cleanses, softens and soothes the sensitive skin.
  • Cooling: it cools and reduces the heat of the body.

As you can see, white clay has numerous benefits, and won’t do any harm to your skin especially if you have sensitive skin like mine, I try to apply white clay on my skin like once or twice a week.

To make the mask, you will need:

  • 1 to 3 tablespoons of white clay.
  • Rose water or mineral water for sensitive skins.

p.s: you can add honey or any essential oil of your choice like tea tree oil if you have Acne.

Start by removing make-up and cleansing your face, once your skin is clean and dry, start preparing the mask:

Take the white clay and add the liquid of your choice little by little until it forms a homogeneous paste, it shouldn’t be liquidy nor too think,  you can use rose water in the mask instead of mineral water but make sure to test it first  on your skin , I don’t use  rose water since it leaves red patches on my skin especially in the under eye area so I use mineral water instead. After mixing the clay with the liquid of your choice, put the mixture on your skin and leave it on for about 15 to 20 minutes, then rinse, don’t leave it on too much though, or else it will dry up your skin. Renew the operation once or twice a week.
